About Course

DIITC is a two-day enabling course for analysts working in an all-source role. It teaches user methods that apply to any analytical system: disciplined access, search and retrieval, data triage, and the use of visualisation and analytical tools.

What Will You Learn?

  • Handle systems safely: apply correct access, handling and audit discipline when using a classified analytical system
  • Search well: construct effective searches and retrieve relevant data from an analytical repository
  • Make sense of data: triage, organise and visualise retrieved data using link charts, timelines and maps
  • Choose the right tool: describe the categories of analytical tooling and select the right one for a task
  • Protect sources, operations and people through good habits: markings, need to know and reporting incidents
  • Record where your information came from, so that others can check your work
